January 4, 1952 - Fire Brigade Dog in 3,000 'Saves'

 

From Reports of City Officers of the City Of Newark NJ 1905: Engine placed in service January 8th, 1896. Engine is a first size, double La France (two-horse hitch), with one-horse Wagon, both in good condition. Engine and Wagon equipped with rubber tires.

From 1920 Board of Commissioner's Manual: Apparatus placed in service May 10, 1916. Gasoline, motor-driven Dixon Pumping Engine, equipped with 20 lenghts of 2½ inch hose.

From 1921 Board of Commissioner's Manual: Apparatus placed in service January 22, 1920. Gasoline motor-driven Ahrens-Fox combination pumping engne, chemical engine and hose wagon
